Alternating learning [14/365]

To create a successful company, you will need to learn a lot of unrelated topics. Building, validating, marketing, selling…

Learning does not only come from books. And it does not simply come from doing.

Books will give you some new ideas to try out. They will show you some tactics that worked for other people, and what did not. But if you don’t apply those teachings to something you are actually making, then you will not understand them deeply and they will be useless to you without action.

When you learn by doing, you’ll see that some strategies work and some don’t. But you will miss out on the experience and ideas of the people that came before you.

Build and read in parallel. You’ll be able to connect theory and practice this way.
