I have a lot to learn so that I can create my business. Think about sales, SEO, marketing, pricing, packaging, more coding…
So much can make your head spin.
I decided to stop trying to learn one topic after the other, and just keep on trying my best on my business.
Two reasons:
- Continuous learning is important, but if that’s all you do, you’re not moving forward (guilty)
- The best way to learn is to apply. I’ll do my best to learn when there is something I do not know how to do or want to improve. For example, I need to improve my landing page. Since I have a course I already bought that is ready to go, I will implement as much of it in my current landing page(s) as I can so I can really learn what there is to offer.
For that, I need to know my next step. The next step right now is to get more traffic coming to my landing page. There are two main elements I want to implement for that:
- SEO: I will implement it first since it will be the longest term solution
- Twitter marketing: There is a chance to reach people faster, but probably needs more continuous effort.
There are obviously other techniques, but those are the two I want to focus on. Twitter marketing, I have the resources I need. I still need to learn about SEO.
I will stick to the “first 20 hours” of deliberate practice to learn the basics of those, so that I can see the results.
My ultimate goal is still to get at least one client by the end of the year, and this will push me in the right direction.
